Last week three 6 Book Challengers went (with Tracey) to buy some new novels. If you'd like to see the books they bought, and maybe even borrow one, they are on display in the Library.





Book Review: Knife of Never Letting Go

This is the first in a new series of book reviews by students ... and of you like the sound of it, you'll find a copy in the Library:

"It's a dystopian-type novel that encompasses the right amount of thrill, action and emotional moments. It's the first book in the trilogy of "Chaos Walking" and is tremendous. Ness balances writing from an illiterate boy's perspective, with interesting writing, perfectly.  Full of suspense, tension, controversial themes and really well-developed characters - it's definitely worth a read"  Meg Wainwright

Get creative in 2015

The Reading Agency has come with 8 ideas to get you reading and writing in 2015. 

Over 20 of you have already written book reviews for us - and we'll be posting them soon; selective comments have also been added to the books you love. 

So if you are feeling creative ... please send your reviews, stories, photos, etc so we can share them with other book lovers.

Best Book Borrowers

Congratulations to Gurpal Khera who tops our Top Twenty chart of Best Borrowers - she borrowed 59 books last term.  Second spot goes to Natalie Payne (55 books) and Third to Taran Bajwa (53). 

Grant Hale (38), Francis Ssuna (30) and Jack Payne (28) also deserve a special mention for being our best male borrowers.

December Winners

Congratulations to two students who have won prizes this month: Joe Smith was the winner of the Readers' Raffle and Magdalena Teichert won the Six Book Challenge monthly draw.  Both received chocolate goodies from Thorntons.


And we hope all the Six Book Challengers who came to our Diary Signing Days on the 11th and 12th December enjoy (reading) their free gift too.
